Changelog

iOS 1.9 · Android 1.0 (5), in closed testing

What has been built, newest first. Praana reached the App Store on 8 May 2026 and is on version 1.9; the Android build is in closed testing and has not been published yet.

Released

On the App Store

  • First public release on 8 May 2026, for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
  • Version 1.9 went out on 14 August 2026 and is the current build.
  • Free, with no in-app purchases and no advertising.
  • Rated 17+, carrying Apple's infrequent medical information advisory.
  • The Android build is feature-matched but still in closed testing, which Google requires to run for fourteen days with twelve testers.

Version 1.9

What is in the build you have

  • Languages: 89, with translations checked before they appear so doses, lab values and units cannot be altered by the translator. Each language shows its download size before and after you add it, and works offline once downloaded.
  • Ara: clearer, more direct answers. Doctor Visit Prep condenses your trends, medications and flagged lab markers onto one shareable page.
  • Training: the plan now reads your last week before writing the next one. Log sets by voice, and check your form through the camera without anything leaving the device.
  • Reporting a problem: the form asks how severe it is, how often it happens and which screen it affects, and you can attach a screenshot. It arrives with your device model attached.
  • Accessibility: a dedicated dyslexia-friendly reading mode with font, spacing and tint controls.

Latest

Safety and compliance

  • Age verification at onboarding, and features restricted to over-17s gated behind it: OvaFlow, Blood Report, Body composition, the goal planner and medication reminders.
  • Every AI answer now carries a visible AI label, on both platforms.
  • Account deletion runs server-side and purges all four collections rather than deactivating a row.
  • Firebase App Check on both platforms: App Attest on iOS, Play Integrity on Android.
  • Five Health Connect permissions removed after an audit found nothing reading them.

Shipped

Accessibility and language

  • A dedicated dyslexia settings screen: hyperlegible fonts downloaded on demand, independent letter and line spacing, reading scale, warm tint.
  • 89 languages, translated once on request and cached on the device.
  • Right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu, with mirrored chevrons, offsets, charts and gradients.
  • Formality, regional variant and native-digit options per language.

Shipped

Ara

  • Rewritten system prompt: answers in plain language, says when it is unsure, and stops padding every reply with a forced list of related questions.
  • Doctor visit prep: the last few months summarised into something you can take to an appointment.
  • Answers in whichever language you have selected.
  • The model version is pinned rather than following a moving alias, after an alias repointed and changed Ara's behaviour overnight.

Shipped

Training

  • Sessions that adapt to how you recovered and what you lifted last week.
  • Hands-free voice logging, with the command parser rewritten after it froze mid-session.
  • Form check using on-device pose detection, with its limits stated in the UI.
  • Point the camera at a gym rack and Praana lists the equipment it can see.
  • Plate maths, 1RM, personal records, streaks, rest timers, run splits, warm-ups and cool-downs.

Shipped

Food, blood work and the cycle

  • Barcode scanning and an AI camera scan for meals with no label.
  • Meal plans that read your blood report and target what you are short of.
  • A universal two-pass parser for lab PDFs, including date extraction.
  • OvaFlow renamed from LunaFlow across both codebases, with phase prediction learning from your own history.
  • Cycle sharing with a partner by QR code, revocable at any time.

Earlier

Foundations

  • A shared design system on both platforms: tokens for colour, type, spacing, radius and haptics.
  • Hydration, caffeine, fasting, supplements and micronutrient tracking.
  • Apple Watch app and home-screen widgets on iPhone.
  • Medication reminders that ring through a locked screen, with a senior mode and an emergency med card.
  • Firestore profile sync so a reinstall restores your profile instead of restarting onboarding.

What is planned next is on the roadmap. Neither list is a promise about dates.
